Sunrise on the Blanco with Phoenix

This was a sunrise we captured overlooking the Blanco river in the Texas Hill Country. I painted it from my photos and memory in my studio at home. For me, my work is more than putting down paint, but is actually a process of restoration and therapy. It requires focus and finding peace. My hope is that this will be a blessing to those that view it. Original landscape paintings are not static but are alive. As the light changes throughout the day, so does the painting, creating a new experience moment by moment.
